Big Cat Encounter

This is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the mightiest Big Cat of them all – the King of the Jungle – the mighty African Lion.

Marmoset Encounter

Enter the Marmoset enclosure with one of our keepers and learn all about these cute and fascinating animals while feeding them treats. Photo opportunities galore – bring your camera!

Meerkat Encounter

Sit on a log and feed our mischievous Meerkats. They may sit on your lap or your shoulder or even your head!

Giraffe Encounter

A personalized introduction to the tallest animal on earth! It is an amazing experience to stand at the feet of a Giraffe and realise how small we are. Meet our gentle giants and give them treats, feel their purple tongue as they hand feed out of your palm. The keeper will be happy to take your photos for you.

Zebra Encounter

This is the closest you can get to Zebras in Australia. You can give them a scratch on their favourite spot and give them a cuddle for a great photo opportunity. A rare opportunity to learn about, and be so close to, these fascinating animals. A horse with stripes… not exactly! Find out why.

Lemur Encounter

Meet King Julien and his friends. Go in the enclosure with the keeper and be entertained by these unique animals found only in Madagascar. The keeper will bring some treats and you can hand feed them and hopefully pat them too. See their little personalities shine!

Zoofari Night Tour

Experience the zoo come alive at night!

Enjoy a relaxing BBQ dinner while listening to the evening calls of the animals in the Zoo, the birds, the lions, perhaps the wolves…

Session Times

• Saturday nights at 6pm
• Duration 3 hours – dinner while the sun sets then guided spotlight tour
• 1^st October to 30^th April
• Bookings need to be made at least 3 days in advance
• Minimum of 4 people per tour; please contact the zoo for bookings less than 4
• Includes one-day zoo entry on the Sunday after the Saturday night Zoofari tour
