You've gotta see it to believe it!
The zoo is wheelchair accessible, with bitumen sealed paths over the majority of the Zoo. But it should be acknowledged that this a rural zoo in savannah type grassland country with a fair amount of uphill and downhill paths to traverse.
The sealing of our paths was done in October 2024 with the help of the Queensland Government’s Building Bush Tourism Grant.
New, modern toilets [including disabled toilets and a baby change room] have been added in 2021 near the entrance.
We also have two disabled portable toilets within the Zoo.
Our zoo shop sells souvenirs, pies, sausage rolls, vegetable pastie, spinach & ricotta rolls, pre-packaged or made to order sandwiches, hot dogs, a gluten free frittata, ham & cheese croissants, crisps, ice creams, cold drinks and REAL COFFEE all day long.
From 12pm to 1pm we also sell hot chips, nuggets and a sausage sizzle!
We have EFTPOS machines available in the shop for your convenience.
Hand sanitising stations are located throughout the zoo and hand washing facilities are available near our Lions and in the toilet blocks.
We provide free use of the zoo BBQs if you would prefer to cook your own food. There is a shady picnic area outside as well as an undercover area with tables and chairs.
